Scoring System
- Regulation Win = 2.0 points
- OT Win = 1.5 points
- Shootout Win = 1.0 points
- OT/Shootout Loss = 0.5 points
- Regulation Loss = 0 points
Additional team points can be earned each game if:
- a player scores a hat trick = 1 team point
- a goalie records a shutout = 1 team point
- a short handed goal is scored = 1 team point
- team scores 5 or more goals in a game = 1 team point
Tie-Break Rules (Canada)
TO QUALIFY FOR CHAMPIONSHIP/HOME TEAMIf tied in total points after round robin:
- Team with most points based on game results in round robin. (Not including performance points.)
- Team with the most head-to-head points in round robin. (Not including performance points.)
- Team with best plus/minus in round robin.
- Team with best plus/minus in head-to-head games.
- Team with the most goals scored in the round robin.
- If after all above tie-break rules there is still a tie, team who won 2nd game of head-to-head games.
Tie-Break Rules (USA)
To earn showcase cash prize potIf tied in total points after showcase:
- Team with most points based on game results.
- Team with best plus/minus.
- Team that scored the most combined goals over the showcase.
- Team the scored the most goals in the final game of the showcase.
- If both games were tied, and each team won one shootout – team with the most goals scored in the combined shootouts.
- If after all above tie-break rules there is still a tie, team who won game two is the showcase champion.
