Les canadiennes (CWHL)
BIO / CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
I’m from Montreal and played hockey since I was two years old. When I graduated high school, I went on and played with the Dawson College’s Blues where we captured a Bronze medal in my last year. After college, I was recruted by the Concordia Stingers where I played 5 years. In my final year we won a silver medal in the provincials and went to the national championship. Afterward, I was selected by Les Canadiennes de Montreal and played in the pro league for 2 years until it folded.
WHY ARE YOU #ForTheGame?:
I am for the game because I believe that women’s sport should have an important place in sport like the men have. We should have a place to play and inspire the next generation of young hockey player. To show them that they will have a place to play when they get older. A place where they will have idols and they will be able to say “I want to be just like her when I grow up”. In order to increase the level of performance of women’s hockey, we need a sustainable league where the athlete can focus on their sport entirely and getting better after college.
