WHY ARE YOU #ForTheGame?:
One of my goals is to help others, who suffer from injuries, are facing adversity, and also have the thoughts about quitting, overcome those challenges and never give up! I was out for four years in a row with two broken legs, underwent a couple of different surgeries, got diagnosed with mono, and then had to get another surgery to get hardware taken out, so it was definitely a tough journey in itself. Thankfully I had committed to Northeastern, and my coach honored my scholarship, but it was ultimately up to me to keep pushing through and overcome those obstacles. This was not an easy chapter of my life but I wouldn’t change anything because it made me a better and stronger person today. Unfortunately through all of that I did miss a ton of my college career, but I got offered a spot to play pro after my college career came to an end. I took advantage of this opportunity because of the adversity faced at Northeastern, and 3 pro seasons later I am loving the game more than ever again. I think it’s great that we are fighting for what we deserve because it will allow players, like myself, who missed a huge part of their career, the chance to play the sport they love again at the highest level against the top talent in the world.
